Outdoor Education

Outdoor education is a very important part of our curriculum.  We regularly
go on outings and we have annual school camps.

Culture

Darling College has a three arts syllabus. This comprises of art, drama and music. Students participate in eisteddfods and art competitions. We are very proud of our choir and they participate in events and churches through-out Darling.

Kultuur

The students participated in activities such as fishing, volleyball, "jukskei", the spider web, game drives, tug of war, reptile shows and basic first aid training.

Sport

The school is in the process of developing its sports facilities. Currently the school makes use of the Darling Golf Club fields and courts but should be able to use its own fields in 2014.

The college offers the following sport codes:

Summer: Athletics, Cricket & Mini-crickek, Tennis & mini-tennis.
Winter: Rugby, Netball

The school is affiliated to the Swartland Sports union as to allow our learners to be eligible for provincial colours. The school participates in the seven’s rugby circuit because there are too few players to fill a conventional 15 a side team. The school hopes to bridge this gap in 2014. Our coaches are qualified and we have a provincial coach as part of the teaching staff.

The school also facilitates participation of its students in a variety of smaller codes. These codes include: Horse riding, Gymnastics, Karate

The school wishes to afford more people from the Darling Community the opportunity to participate in similar activities.
